Summer programming

Youth programming:

Classes available for kids 6-16 years of age. These classes will get players to serve, rally and score as soon as possible in a safe, fun environment using sized right racquets, balls and courts. Classes begin the week of June 9 and run once a week for six weeks. Cost is $45.00. All classes taught by Dave Johnson and Dan Hawkins, PTR certified instructors.

Match Play for Youth

This class is free to any player registered for the Tennis Buddies or Futures Tennis programs. Match Play on Saturdays will be sponsored by the Alpine Regional Tennis Association and will begin mid-June. Exact dates TBD.

Adult programming:

All classes taught by Dave Johnson and Dan Hawkins, beginning in June. Dave and Dan are PTR certified teaching professionals.

Start/Restart tennis

Is the perfect multi-week program for adults (and youth 16 and over) who are new to the game or haven’t played for a lengthy amount of time. Participants will have a blast, meet new people, and learn the basics of tennis. Get ready to feel the excitement that tennis will bring to your life. Classes begin Wednesday, June 23, 7-8 pm at the Sportsplex Tennis Center; cost is $65.00 for the 6 week program. Register with coach Dave at dajoh285@gmail.com.

Cardio Tennis

Is a fun group activity for anyone at any playing level looking for a fun way to burn calories and interact with others. Cardio Tennis is high energy fitness that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, workout all set to heart pumping music. Classes are held Thursdays, from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Sportsplex Tennis Center. $10.00 per class. Try it for free your first visit!! Register with coach Dave at dajoh285@gmail.com.

Strokes and Strategy clinic

Are held 10-11am Monday and Wednesday mornings beginning May 17 at the Sportsplex Tennis Center. Clinic is for beginners and intermediate players (up to 3.0 level). These clinics focus on strokes as well as strategy to improve the participants all-around game. The classes are fun and social. $10.00 per session. Register with coach Dave at dajoh285@gmail.com for each class. Registration is required. New ARTA members are entitled to two free classes.

Strokes and Strategies - advanced

These classes are intended for more advanced players interested in tournament level play or Coach approve Classes will be held Monday 10-11:30 am and Wednesday 9-10:30 am.
